Christmas in April
This coming Sunday (April 28th) is one of my favorite Sunday’s of the year! We will be worshipping through service in what we call Christmas in April. There will be no regular worship services this week, instead we will meet at the church at 9am to help feed people in Caroline County and our region. At 9am we will meet in the sanctuary for a blessing of the day and some instructions. Then we will get to work! We have 40,000 pounds of potatoes that will be delivered to the church. We will bag those into 10 pound bags to make it easy to hand out. We will then load those bags into food bank trucks and pickup trucks for distribution. We will also be sorting and boxing canned food. We could use some more canned food so please bring some with you on Sunday!
That’s a lot of potatoes!
One of the things I really love about this Sunday is the energy during the day. We all come together to accomplish a common goal. There is young people working along side older people. Everyone is having fun! I hope you will plan to join us on Sunday at 9am. I know you won’t regret it!
