It’s getting busy!
Things are starting to get a little busy here at Wright’s Chapel, as things usually do this time of year.
We will be kicking off this season with our Annual Fat Tuesday Pancake Supper and Karaoke with Charles this Tuesday, Feb. 25th, 5:30-7 pm in the Fellowship Hall. We will be accepting donations during the event. All proceeds will go to our Mexico Mission trip this summer.

Next Wednesday, Feb. 26th, is Ash Wednesday. We will have the first of many Lenten Lunches starting at noon with a potluck to follow worship. Please sign up in the Gathering Area with a dish to share. If you are unable to make the noon potluck, you can join us at 7 pm for our Ash Wednesday worship. We will continue with Lenten Lunches every Wednesday at noon followed by a potluck through Holy Week.
The Youth have an overnight mission trip to DC on Friday, March 6th. This trip is open to all middle and high schoolers. The last day to sign up is Sunday, February 23rd, and the cost is $25 per youth. They are currently collecting NEW adult socks in the red bin in the Gathering Area to hand out on this trip.
Cindy’s Closet will have their famous Dollar Sale in the Fellowship Hall on Saturday, March 7th, 8-1 pm. If you would like to help set up or clean up for this sale, please speak with Kim or Renee to coordinate.
Don’t forget to set your clocks ahead on Sunday, March 8th, so that you are not late for church and the meeting regarding our summer mission trip to Mexico. This informational meeting will be in the Fellowship Hall following the 11 am worship and is open to anyone interested in going this summer.
The annual Women’s Connection Beach Retreat to Sandbridge is the following weekend, March 13th to 15th with a special guest speaker, Pat Boord. We are so excited and can’t wait for all those that signed up to enjoy the weekend. You can find out more about Pat through her website, Bench Pressing Faith. (This event is full.)
Cinderella’s Closet will be holding their annual event at Wright’s on Saturday, March 21st from 8-2 pm. Through donations of gently used and new formal clothing and accessories, we have been able to outfit girls and guys for the upcoming prom season and other formal events. Anyone in need of formal attire whether in Caroline County or neighboring counties is invited to this event. Donations are being accepted at Wright’s Chapel or at Cindy’s Closet during business hours.
As always, we are collecting non-perishable food items and personal hygiene items for our Mobile Ministry that meets at two locations on the first Sunday of the month. Those items can be dropped in the grocery cart in the Gathering Area each Sunday. The next Mobile Ministry is Sunday, March 1st.
